We regret to announce passing on to glory of Sura Anyango Odemba on July 16, 2022.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Okoth Odemba, of Uluani Village, Uholo in Siaya County.
Sura (Nyar Kendu) was the mother of Sam Okoth (Tulli) of Houston, Texas, and Boniface, Charles, Millicent, Zacharia and Eddy, all of Kenya.
She was a sister of the late Ross Ogweno, Charles Abiero (Ogedo), William Ogembo (Omin Sura), Okuro Kumo (Arudhi), Joseph Orimba ( Jossy), and the only surviving brother, Joseph Akumu (Opole) of Wappingers Falls, New York.
Her body is currently at Home Ground Funeral Home, Ugunja, Siaya County.
Burial is scheduled for August 6, 2022 in Uluani Village, Uholo in Siaya County.
