It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Madam Lina Manswela Ochieng on May 2, 2026.
She was daughter of the late Mpanzu Zacharia and the late Henrietta Mukadi.
She was sister of the late Jonas Simakala, the late Nzuzi Nguzulu and the late Panzu Mitandu.
Lina Manswela Ochieng was wife of the late Dismas Adija Ochieng and co-wife of Margaret Ochieng.
She was mother of Lumumba, Oloo, Rosemary, Gabriel, Claire, Melanie, the late Leonard, Franklin, and the late Wilson.
She was mother-in-law of Helen, Gilbert, Yoann, Susan, Sarah, and Diana.
She was grandmother of Neema, Zola, Sunshine, Israela, Jethro, Cailan, Kyle, Nikki, Shawn, Aisha,Ylan, Lilwenn, Kayleen, the late Talia, Ella, Aria, Lami, Patrick and Layla.
She was great-grandmother of Alfa Cousin of Masembo Kitadila.
Madam Lina Ochieng was a long-serving teacher at Moi High School – Kabarak and Mustard Seed International School, Nakuru where she taught French and English.

A Requiem Mass will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Achego Parish Catholic Church near Ndiru Centre, Kagan Ward, Rangwe Sub-county, Homa Bay County.
She will be laid to rest on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the home of the late Mzee Dismas Adija Ochieng, located near Manyatta Centre, Kagan Ward, Rangwe Sub-county, Homa Bay County.
