It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will
that we announce the demise of Mrs. Mabel Okwisa Omondi (formerly of Telkom
Kenya) on 14th May, 2022 in Kisumu, following a short illness.
Beloved wife to Prof. Julius Omondi Nyabundi,
Vice-Chancellor Maseno University. Co-wife to Sylvia Olal Nyabundi and Prof.
Maureen Olel-Nyabundi.
Daughter to the late George Otieno and the late Diana
Ingasiani Agoi, of Kima, Bunyore. Daughter-in-law to the late Wilson Nyabundi
and late Agnetta Adiedo Nyabundi of Seme Katieno.
Sister to the late Paul Otieno, Margaret Awinja, Ruth Owino,
Lydia Muhonja, Walter Kwendo, Daniel Ndale, the late Joseph Vulimu and Violet
Robai. Cousin to Elsie Aliwa, Hesbon Agoi and others. Sister-in-law to Dr. Jack
Sijenyi Nyabundi, the late Martin Oketch, the late Steve Okeyo, Joseph Oluoch,
the late Allan Odhiambo, Dr. Walter Owino and Pamela Luyaha.
Loving mother to Vivian Alividza, Rex, Gerald, Yvonne,
Sheila, James, Marvin, Sally, Cynthia, Alma and Shirleen. Grandmother to
Corrie, Maya and Julius.
Auntie to James, Dau, Moshe, Linda, Vincent, Roseline,
Pauline and Diana among others.
Family and relatives are meeting daily to condole with the
family at her residence in Milimani Estate, Nehru Road Kisumu and Arom Centre,
Kombewa Market between 4.00pm and 7.00m.
The body is lying at Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary-Kisumu.
There will be a Church Service at St. Stephen’s Cathedral-Kisumu on Wednesday
25th May, 2022 at 2.00pm. The cortege leaves Kisumu for Seme on
Friday 27th May, 2022 at noon.
Burial service will take place on Saturday 28th
May,2022 at Nyawanga Primary School, Nyadhi Village, Katieno West Sub-location,
Seme Sub-county.
