With profound sadness, we announce the sudden and untimely demise of  Mary Atieno Suju of kochia- Kamenya location, kochia east sub location, kodijo village which occurred on December 20, 2024 at Kendu Mission (Gendia) Hospital. 

Mary was a cherished member of The Omanya and Suju families, fondly and lovingly reffered to as Nyar Korayo and Nyamin Mwombo. 
Born in Rachuonyo sub county and later married in Kochia, Mary was the beacon of kindness, love and unweavering faith, touching countless lives with her compassionate outreach. 
She was the beloving daughter of the late Reverends Festo and Esther Omanya of Kayoo Village in Rachuonyo. She was the devoted wife of Jackson Suju Onditi of Kadijo Village, Kochia,  Homabay. Their Union was blessed with the late Lillian Achieng’, Bob, Emily, Moureen, Joyce, Ken, Hellen, Wycliffe, Willis and Atoka. 
Mary was the grandmother of Queen, Lexi  among the 17 grandchildren.  Mary was beloved sister to the late Hellen Umoja of Ndhiwa, late Wilson, late Peter arap Onyango, and Joseph, Patrick and Richard Omanya, all of  USA, and late Abiero, late Ager, David, Rose, Joyce, and Monica of Homabay, Kenya. Mary was great aunty of Joyce, Pauline, Syvania, Caroline, Anne, Audra, the late Florence, Christine, Min Oscar and Lizzy.  
She was a first cousin of Richard, Maurice Dande, Lucy, William, Julius, Geofrey, Jael Okelo, Christopher, Joshua Ogalo, and Noah Nyalele in the USA, and Doreen Inda, Job Dande, late Oyoko , late Akeyo and Late Naomi of Migori, and Daniel Oketch and Elsa of Machakos, Kenya. 
Mary was also cousin of the late Okumu Oidho, late Mary Dande, late  Ng’oma Oidho, late Odewa Oidho, late Paulina, late Ager and late abiero Gworo. Mary was also a cherished niece of Mwalimu Daudi Ochoo of Koguma Village, Nicholas Nyosewe and late Joseph Nyosewe, all of  Gem. Mary was great niece of Amolo Rosa, Elizabeth okelo, Linet Okelo, all of Gem Wakeru among many. 
Her passing leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts and the fabric of our families. As we grieve, we also celebrate her beautiful life and the cherished memories she leaves behind. 
The cortege will leave Kendu Mission Hospital on January 12, 2025. The body will be laid to rest on Monday, January 13, 2025,in Kamenya Location, Kadijo village.
