It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Mzee Daniel Ogembo Ochieng on October 30, 2022 at Ringa Kojwach, Homa Bay County.He was the eldest son of the late Mzee Joel Ochieng Ogado and the late Mama Julia Muga Oyieke, the late Mama Filkista Oyieke and the late Mama Susana Oyieke.
He was the loving husband of Mama Sarah Oswago Ogembo. He was devoted father of Erick Ogembo, Cephas Ogembo, Lorna Onyango, Dr. Jane Ogembo, the late John Ogembo, Lillian Ogembo, Mary Ogembo, Kenneth Ogembo, Ruth Agwanda, Roseline Ogembo, Beatrice Ogembo, the late Davis Ogembo and Patrick Ogembo.
He was grandfather of Dr. Carol, Franklin, Julia, Samuel, Eva, Vivian, Beatrice, Anita, Dilly, Collins, Christabel, Larry, Cynthia, Jackline, Christine, Okiri, Herbert, Kenneth, Dr. Laura, Dr. Lee, Loreen, Teddy, Joseph, Nadia, Malek and Zeline.
Great-grandfather of Mariya.
Father-in-law of Dennis Were, Eng. Joseph Oyugi, John Agwanda, Mary Onyango, Linet Onyango, Pauline Otieno, Evelyne Oluoch and Monica Ouma.
He was brother of Rebeca Omulo, Zakaria Omollo, the Ezekiel Abuya, Elijah Matibe, the Joel Matoke, Jonathan Odera, the Elly Ogweyo, Yusuf Ogado, Benjamin Okeyo, Helena Obuya and Joan Akinyi.
He was brother-in-law of Prisca Omollo, Norah Abuya, Eunice Matibe, Ezekiel Oyieke, Tom Oyieke, Joel Oyieke, Daniel Oketch, Elly Matoke, Diana Opondo, the Esther Ayayo, Elizabeth Amayo, Salome Onyimbo, the late Perez Owuor, Prof Ann Obondo, Rodah Orengo, Jane Ogango and Moses Oyieke.
The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary- Kisumu on Thursday, November 24, 2022 for his final resting place at Ringa-Kojwach, Homa Bay County.
Burial will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022.
