It is with deep sorrow and acceptanceof God’s will that we announce the passing of Pamela Adhiambo Osodo Abayo on April 6, 2025.
Pamela
was the wife of Fredrick Omondi Abayo.She was the
mother of Edgar Vincent Abayo, Quinto
Vincent Abayo, Rebecca Cherlynn Abayo and Alfred Josiah Abayo She was a
mothe-in-law of Judith and Catherine, and grandmother of Ethan Reign
Abayo, Ella Hera Abayo and Eamon Abayo. Pamela also adopted Mary Nyakiamo.
Pam was the daughter of the
late Vincent Ondwart and Mercellla Odiembo of Sindo, Kaksingri Location, Homa Bay County, and niece of Peter Nyakiamo, Martin
Oketch and Julius Yiega.
Her siblings include Sarah Okoth, the late Elizabeth
Achieng Arao, the late Alfred Airo, Pascal Nyakiamo, Anna Atieno, Magdaline
Odira, the late Martin Ondwat, Florence Ochola, and Thomas Ondwat.
She was daughter-in-law to Abayo Achiro and Gladys Abayo.
She was sister-in-law of the late Bob Okoth, the late Elly Arao, Victor Abongo, Tobias Awino, Arnold Sangili, Richard Mboya, Paul Ogada, Victor Abayo, Cosmas Ambila and Nick Airo.

She retired from the Ministry of Interior, State Department of
Registration of Citizens and Immigration, in February 2025.
A Mass will be held on May 1, 2025, at St. Arnold Janssen
Catholic Church, Komarock, Nairobi from 3 p.m.
The body will leave Nairobi for Kisumu on Friday, May 2, 2025, and for an
overnight stay at her family home in Ruma Village, Aram Market, Rarieda Subcounty in
Siaya County.
Pam will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Mass will be
held at Ruma Primary School.
