James Opiata Odhiambo – Ongaro
It’s with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Opiata Ongaro Odhiambo, formerly of Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, which occurred on February 8, 2025 at Reale Hospital, Utawala, Nairobi.
He was son of the late Odhiambo
Jagowa and the late mama Priska Apiyo of Kamasengre, Rusinga Island, Homa Bay
County.
The late James Opiata Ongaro
Odhiambo was the husband of Millicent Osewe of Westlands School and Linet Oyawo
of Hope Special School – Mbita.
He was the father of Yoni
Odhiambo of Bliss Healthcate, Debra, Vianny, Jeff and Jim Junior, and grandfather
of Jada and Yuri. He was father-in-law of Joyline Chepkemoi.
The James Opiata Ongaro Odhiambo’s body lies at Umash Funeral Home in
Nairobi.
A fundraising will be held from
5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the All Saints’ Cathedral Church in Nairobi.
Funeral arrangements are
ongoing.
