announce the untimely death of freelance videographer and organizing secretary
of Gor Mahia Umoja Branch Mr. Collins Odimo Kwala.
Collins Odimo Kwala
died in a grisly road accident on September 8, 2023 in Londiani on his way to
Kisumu.
Collins Kwala,
popularly known as Collo Kwala or “Mhesh” for Mheshimiwa, was the son of the
late Julius Odimo Kwala and Molly Adhiambo Odimo of Rusinga Island, Kaswanga,
Gunda.
Colly leaves behind a
wife, Fenny Kwala, and daughter Caren Kwala, both of Umoja 2 Nairobi.
Colly was brother of
Mercy Kwala. He was uncle of Mich Mor Dede and Divine Marina Dede.
He was nephew of Japan
Kwalla, the late Asewe Ulalo, Caesar Olela Kwala, Rose Ojijo, the late Ruth
Ngore, the late Raphael Kwalla Owuor, Fredrick Adede of Poughkeepsie, New York,
Caren Gaga of Wappingers Falls, New York and Lillian Ogoye of Poughkeepsie, New
York.
Colly was a cousin of
Sarah Kwala, Udi Kwala, Brian Kwala, Lorraine and Vivian Kwala, Hillary Kwala,
Evans Caltex, Biko Caltex, Abade Ulalo, Abby Josiah, Roseline Gaga, Christine
Adede, Justin Gaga, Eric, Evelyn, Daisy, Nancy Ojijo and many more.
The late Collins Odimo’s remains are at Montezuma Funeral Home in Nairobi.
The body is scheduled to leave Nairobi on Thursday, September 28 for burial at his home in Gunda Village, Kaswanga in Rusinga Island, Homs Bay County.
Friends and family are meeting daily for funeral arrangements at his Umoja 2 residence in Nairobi.
