It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Evans Caltex Ouma of Poughkeepsie, New York, which occurred on Friday, January 31, 2025.
Evans was son of Joshua Ouma Caltex and Mama Ruth Ng'ore Ouma of
Waondo Sub-location, Suba District in Homa Bay County.
Evans is survived by his wife, Angela Atieno Ouma of Nairobi,
Kenya.
He leaves behind his children, namely Ivy Ouma, Dayern Ouma, Mark Ouma, and Tatiana Ouma.
Evans was brother of Caro Biko Thatcher of Pennsylvania,
Christine Ogada of Nairobi, Kenya, Jim Caltex Ouma, the late Dan Caltex Ouma,
Musa Caltex Ouma, Dorothy Osoro, Josephine Ouma Caltex of Kenya Army, Belia,
Maureen, Ian and Daddy.
Evans was an uncle of Solace, Joe, Joshua, Sharon, Josephine,
Cadence, Jade, Dan Junior, Mariel and Mikel, among others.
He was nephew of Japan Kwala, Olela Kwala, Julius Odimo Kwala, Ralph
Kwala, Fred Otiende and Karume Musa. His aunties include Margaret, Dorcas, Yunes, Rose,
Caren, and Elizabeth.
Evans cousins include the Ulalos, the Japans, the Olelas, the
Odimos, the Ojijos the Kwalas, the Gagas, the Ayomas, the Adedes, the
Milungos, and the Oukos.
Evans was brother-in-law of Cliff, Brian, and Henry.
The family is appealing to friends and well-wishers for financial support to
enable Evans' remains to be transported back to Waondo Village in Homa Bay
County, Kenya for burial.
