It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mzee Shem Otieno Tena Okomo of Gunda Village, Kaswanga, Rusinga in Homa Bay County.He was the son of the late Mzee Silfanus Okomo Onyalo and Mama Agneta Okomo.
He was the husband of Mama Mary Auma Okomo of Kaswanga, and the father of Bernard Akwiri Otieno, the late Okomo Otieno, the late Elsa, Okumu Otieno, Oscar Otieno, and Ogejo Otieno, among others.
The late Shem Otieno was brother of the late Job Okeyo Okomo, Josi Okomo, Adiso Okomo, Okomo Okomo, Marren Auma and Achola.
He was a cousin of Jomo Misasa, Ogweno Misasa, Ouma Wadeya, Ogot, Okatch, Josi, among others
Mzee Shem Otieno Okomo's remains are at MED25 Funeral Home in Kirindo, Mbita.
Burial will be on Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home in Gunda Village, Kaswanga in Homa Bay County.
