Engineer Abraham Josiah Ochieng Owiro
It is with humble acceptance of the will of God that we convey the passing on of Abraham Josiah Ochieng of Ahono Village, East Gem, Siaya County, on July 25, 2025.
He was the husband of Dorothy Ayoma Owiro, and the father of
Rita of Australia, Michelle, Andrew, Emanuel and Gloria.
The late Abraham Josiah Ochieng was son of the late Zephania Owiro Okelo and the late Jedida Anyango Owiro of East Gem, Siaya. He was brother of Joash Otieno Owiro, James Asiko Owiro, Joab Odhiambo Owiro and John Tobias Okelo Owiro.
He was son-in-law of the late Johnstone indiya and the late
Violet Olessi, and a brother-in-law of Clive Amos of Ghana, Violet Nieria, the
late Kenneth Kaunda, Pamela Atieno Owiro, Roseanne Adoyo Owiro and Lydia Abuti
Owiro.
He was an uncle of Jedidah Anyango Owiro, Andrew Owoko Owiro,
Kayo Asiko, Ashley Walubenga, Ochieng Wyclif Asiko, and Odhiambo Owiro. He was grandfather of Sasha, Ela, Sivan and Ica.
The cortege will leave Avenue Hospital Mortuary in Kisumu at 1
p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025.
A memorial service will follow at St. Stephens ACK Church,
Rawa in Ahono Village on the same day.
A funeral service will be held on August 2, 2025, at Sagam Primary
School. Burial will follow at his home in Ahono Village, East Gem Ward, Siaya
County.
