Grace Odhiambo
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing to Glory of Mama Grace Odhiambo on October 20, 2025, at the age of 91. She was formerly the deputy headmistress of Moi Girls High School, Nairobi.She was the wife of the late Professor Douglas Odhiambo of Mariwa Village, Migori County.
Mama Grace Odhiambo was the mother of Elizabeth Ochieng, the late Debbie Odhiambo, Francis Odhiambo, Rebecca Owiti, Hezekiah Okaka and Jacob Odhiambo.
She was mother-in-law of Dr. Yvonne Oluoch, Dr. Geofrey Owiti, Norah Okaka and Jacqueline Odhiambo.
The late Mama Grace Odhiambo was the daughter of the late Chief Jacob Ochuka and the late Elizabeth Ochuka and Wilkister Ochuka. she was the sister of Gladys Aduda, the late Elphas Oyuga, Robert Angwech, Dorothy Oketch, the late Jennifer Ochuka, Edwina Ochuka, the late Francis Obunga, George Omolo and Margaret Adhiambo.
She was sister-in-law of the late Athanasio Ongor and the late Matilda Ongor, the late Abner Ochieng and Gertrude Ochieng, the late Samwel Onyango and Elizabeth Onyango, the late Christopher Adeny and the late Janet Adeny, the late William Okello and the late Nellie Okello, the late Samwel Aduda, Elizabeth Angwech, David Oketch Mark Jagero and Elizabeth Obunga.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the All-Saints Cathedral in Nairobi. Burial will be on November 4, 2025, at her home in Mariwa Village, Migori County.
