Festus Amimo
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of newscaster Festus Amimo.
Amimo, 46, was found unresponsive in Nairobi on Sunday, December
7, 2025. His body was taken to the City Mortuary for postmortem.
Amimo leaves behind his wife Rose, and they were blessed with
three children. The couple was expecting their fourth child.
Amimo, who was popularly known as Wuod Awasi, was the head of
KBC Dholuo – Mayienga Radio and chairman of the Luo Journalists Association.
Amimo hailed from Awasi, Nyando in Kisumu County. Burial arrangements are ongoing.
