Japheth Jomo Misasa
We are saddened to announce the death of Japheth Jomo Misasa of Gunda Village, Kaswanga, Rusinga Island in Homa Bay County.
Popularly known as Meja, Akamba or Councilor, Jomo Misasa died on
Thursday, November 20, 2025.
Japheth Jomo Misasa was the son of the late Mzee Filmon Misasa and Mama Saulina Orimbo Misasa, both of Gunda, Kaswanga.
Jomo was the father of David and Aflyn. He was brother of Kiboko, Akinyi, Ogweno, Omira, Ouma, and Amin Misasa, among others.
Japheth Jomo Misasa will be buried on Friday, December 12 at his
home in Gunda Village, Kaswanga, Rusinga Island.
