Dr. Walter Odhiambo Anyango
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Walter Odhiambo Anyango that occurred on January 22, 2025 in Nairobi, Kenya.
Dr. Walter Odhiambo previously served as the dean, School of Dental Sciences at the University of Nairobi, and chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial.
He
was the son of the late Bishop Harrison Akongo Anyango and the late Mama
Yukabeth Anyango, and mama Benter Okeyo.
The later Dr. Walter Odhiambo was the husband of Esther Nakasala, and a devoted father of Harry, Thomas, Telnah
and Elgon.
He
was a brother of Atieno Johnson of Maryland, Apollo Anyango of Texas, Janet Ologi
of Delaware, and Lynette Anyango, Dorah Anyango , Christine Anyango and Eric Koi
Anyango, all of Kenya.
He was brother-in-law of Walter Ologi of Delaware, the later Gordon Ondiek, Frank Nyamunde, Seth Ombija, Isaac Kute, Rose and Catherine.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 6 at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
The burial will be at his home in Kadok Village, Ouko Ondeng Sub-location, Koyugi Location of West Karachuonyo in Homa Bay County
